Selling Your Phone

You can use our website anytime (24hours) to get an instant cash offer and register the sale. Our office team/customer support are available during the office hours below.

1. Find your device on our homepage search bar, select condition to get an instant cash offer. Click  ‘Sell this device’ and fill in your payment details

2. We will provide you with a Royal Mail Postage Label . Bubble wrap your device, it’s better to have too much wrapping than not enough to protect the device in transit. Drop off the device at your local post office

3. We will notify you when we receive your device. Our technicians will test the device and get you paid within 48 hours (Monday-Friday-Excluding Public Holidays).

4. Your quoted price is valid for 30 days but we don’t mind if you are a day or two out when posting to us but if it is longer than 48 hours and the item price has changed then you will need to make a new submission on our website

  • Search the model/make of the device you are looking to sell.
  • Select condition/ memory capacity/network (where applicable)
  • You will immediately get an offer based on your selection

Once we have received and checked your device(s) we will pay you within 24 Hours (Monday-Friday-Excluding Public Holidays). You will receive an email to confirm payment has been sent.

You can sell an unlimited number of devices to Ecofone. Each order allows you to add up to 2 devices at a time. If you are selling more than two devices, you need to create multiple orders. Our Royal Mail Tracked 48 service allows you to post up to 2 devices per order.

If you have a large collection of devices that you wish to sell in bulk, we offer a free valuation service, simply send an email to hello@ecofone.co.uk or complete the bulk sell form here with your details and the collection you wish to sell, and we will reply within 1 business day.

We will provide you with a Royal mail postage label once your order has been confirmed. You can package up your device (s) for Collection from your home/workplace or you can drop off at your local Post Office.

We pay the postage for your device and send you a free Royal Mail tracked 48 label. This is insured up to £100. If your device is worth more than this, you might want to consider using Royal Mail Special Delivery instead. 

Yes, your device must be posted within 14 days of the date of the offer quote. If we have received no response after 14 days we will assume you no longer wish to proceed with selling your device(s) and the order will be closed automatically.

If you have not received your payment within 3 working days from the date it was sent to your bank account  please contact us at: payments@ecofone.co.uk or call us on 0330 321 40 40. 

We’ll email you as soon as we receive your device(s). We aim to process your device (s) within 24 hours of delivery. We’ll keep you up to date throughout, so just keep an eye on your emails / SMS  *Monday to Friday, excluding public holiday

We accept most smartphones. To find out if we can accept your device, simply type in your device model in our search bar.

Mistakes do happen. For example one may enter their device model as iPhone 6s instead of iPhone 6. If this type of error happens  or the condition doesn’t match the information you provided, we’ll get in contact with you via text/ email as soon as possible. We usually offer a revised price or send the device back to you free of charge.

 Our technicians will first check  that all the specifications of your device match the description you provided (i.e. model, condition, network and storage capacity). We’ll then do visual inspections and run a series of  tests using advanced device testing software.

We need your device & charger only. Non-essential accessories will not increase the trade-in value (i.e earbuds, manuals, etc…).

That one is a big NO. We do not accept lost or stolen devices under any circumstance. We check all devices using a database called CheckMEND which provides us with the history of your items. If your device is registered lost or stolen, we will not accept it.

Currently, we only accept devices from within the United Kingdom.

All devices have their data securely wiped when they arrive. They’ll then be reused, refurbished or responsibly recycled – landfill is never an option. Ecofone  gives your old devices a second life.

Sending your device(s)

We have 2 options available for you:

Option 1: Create a free Royal Mail shipping label from home which can be generated by clicking here which will take you to our section of the Royal Mail website. Schedule A Collection From Home/Workplace – Find Out More Here

Options 2: If you don’t have a printer at home , you have the option to download a QR code to your phone. The QR code will be downloadable once you have generated a free Royal Mail label by clicking here.  Take your parcel to the Post Office and simply show the QR code to a staff member at your local Post Office. They will scan the QR Code from your phone which will allow their Post Office system to print the shipping label for you to stick to the package free of charge. Make sure you have the Device boxed up ready for the shipping label to be stuck on. The Post Office will not provide you the packaging. 

Before sending your device(s) to us and to help speed up our processes, please do the following:

  • Remove the SIM card
  • Restore the phone to original factory settings (including the removal of all PIN codes and passcodes)
  • Backup your personal information
  • Wipe all data
  • Include the original battery
  • Deactivate your iCloud/Google account.

Please take every care when packaging your device. Ideally, you should post your device using the original manufacturer`s box. If you no longer have the original box, any suitable box will do. You can use additional bubble wrap/ tissue paper to cushion the device in the box. We will email you as soon as we receive your device (s). Our freepost service should take 2-3 working days to be delivered to us. If we have not received your device within 15 working days then it may possibly be lost in the post. In order to make a claim you will need to contact the Royal Mail on 08457 740740 or visit www.royalmail.com for more information.

We offer a Royal Mail postage Label that allows you to post up to 2 devices free of charge. If you are selling more than 2 devices, you are welcome to place multiple sales of 2 devices per sale.

It is your responsibility to make sure that your item(s) are fully secure when you ship them. If a package is received and looks to have been damaged due to mishandling, we return the package without opening it. However, if the box is secure and does not look as though anything happened during transit and the item inside was not secure, we will offer you an amount based off the condition we receive the device in.

If you haven’t received an order confirmation or any other email correspondence from us, please check your junk or spam folder and add our address to your safe list:  orders@ecofone.co.uk

Important information about your order will be sent by email so it is vital that you check your inbox regularly to keep up to date with the status of your order.

Alternatively, you can check your order status by logging into the website and clicking on ‘My Orders’.

Please log in the ‘My Account’ area of our website. Click on the ‘My Account’ option on the top tool bar of our website. You will be prompted to enter your Username and Password.Select the ‘Orders’ option to view an order summary. Please select an order to view order details.

Select the ‘Change Password’ option and enter your new password.

Unfortunately it is not possible to change your username once an account has been created.

Your username, unless changed by you, is defaulted to your email address.

For security reasons your password is encrypted and cannot be seen by anyone but you.

Once received, we recommend that you log into the ‘My Account’ area of our website and reset the password to one of your choice.

Please select the ‘Lost your password?’ option on the login screen to have a new password emailed to you.
